Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence: Thank You, Ed!
At C&W Appliance Service, we believe our people are the heart of everything we do—and today, we’re proud to celebrate one of our very best. Congratulations to Ed Wieczorek on his 20-year anniversary with C&W!
Ed’s journey in appliance service began long before his first day with us. Following in the footsteps of his father, who was also an appliance technician, Ed grew up around the trade and learned the value of craftsmanship, honesty, and care. He honed his skills in Michigan before making his way to Texas, where he joined the C&W team in the early 2000s.
A Legacy of Service
When Ed first joined C&W, he was working on Sub-Zero units under warranty—units that, thanks to his skill and dedication, are still running today. In fact, many of those same customers are still calling us for service, and Ed is still the one they trust. Some of these families have gone from newlyweds to empty nesters, and Ed has been there through every season of life, keeping their appliances—and their kitchens—running strong.
That kind of long-term care is exactly what we strive to provide at C&W. Ed embodies our mission: to serve customers with excellence, consistency, and heart, every step of the way.
“Ed is the definition of a true professional,” says Philip LaPlante, Service Manager at C&W. “His deep technical knowledge is matched by his commitment to doing the job right—every single time. He doesn’t take shortcuts. He’s one of the most thorough, detail-oriented technicians I’ve had the pleasure to work with.”
What Customers Say About Ed
We’re not the only ones who think Ed is amazing—just look at what our customers have to say:
- “Ed showed up a bit early and knew exactly what was going on with our Sub-Zero refrigerator. He repaired it super fast and cleaned up afterwards. Easy peasy!”
- “Ed was so easy to work with, fixed up my little fridge in no time and so efficiently. He taught me a lot about my fridge so I can keep it running for 40 more years!”
These reviews only scratch the surface of the respect and appreciation Ed has earned throughout his career.
Ed’s Expert Tips for Appliance Care
After decades in the field, Ed has some hard-earned wisdom that he shares with our customers every day:
- Small issues can lead to big problems—Don’t ignore ripped gaskets or unusual noises. Early fixes prevent costly repairs
- Keep your fridge running efficiently—Noisy fans or long run times mean your appliance is working harder than it should. That strain adds up fast
- Routine maintenance matters—Regular checkups can catch rust, moisture buildup, or loose seals before they create major headaches
- Preserve what still works—Ed is one of the few technicians who can still repair R12 units. For built-in refrigerators in tight spaces, a good repair can be worth far more than a full kitchen renovation
C&W is proud to be one of the few companies in the region that still carries R12 refrigerant and follows strict EPA guidelines for its use—helping customers protect both their investment and the environment.
A Life Well-Rounded
Outside of work, Ed is just as impressive. He’s a devoted family man whose two kids have recently graduated and are now off to college. He’s also a passionate motorcycle rider who enjoys the freedom of the open road whenever he gets the chance.
A Company—and a Family—That’s Grateful
Congratulations on your two decades of loyal service. Your expertise, professionalism, and care have made you a role model for our entire team. You treat every home like your own and every customer like family.
Here’s to your incredible 20 years—and to many more ahead
