If you want to learn about the latest refrigerators, freezers, ovens, cooktops and more from Sub-Zero and Wolf — as well as luxury appliances from Best ventilation products, Scotsman ice machines and ASKO dishwashers and laundry appliances — make plans to visit one of OUR customers — the Sub-Zero and Wolf showroom at 3707 Lemmon Avenue, near downtown Dallas. You can see the full range of appliances in a variety of kitchen and cabinetry settings.
Designs on Education
The destination showroom serves kitchen designers, appliance distributors, home builders and homeowners planning to remodel their kitchens. Clients come from all over Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi to learn more about the product. The Sub-Zero and Wolf staff hosts meetings and continuing-education seminars for designers, distributors and builders. For Sub-Zero and Wolf appliance owners, they provide demonstrations on ways to get the most from the equipment that they already own. If they’re lucky, the designers, distributors, builders and select customers may get to see special demonstrations with our friend, Executive Chef Garth Blackburn, co-host of “Taste Texas” on KTXD-TV, and learn how he uses Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances to create his culinary masterpieces.
Glenn Giltner, vice president of sales and marketing for Sub-Zero South Central, explained the mission of the showroom, “It was built with the idea that consumers, builders and designers can see everything the company makes within a nice setting. We provide knowledge, explain functions and demonstrate the value of these appliances. Our qualified staff can answer any questions. We don’t sell directly.”
Who Knew?
Giltner recently learned an interesting fact about the showroom location. Opening its doors in April 2013, the 16,000-square-foot facility underwent several reincarnations before becoming the Sub-Zero and Wolf Showroom. Giltner said it first opened as a Safeway store on November 21, 1962. The following day, President John F. Kennedy and his motorcade passed by the store, just minutes before he was assassinated in downtown Dallas. Many people remember the building as housing a Tower Records store and restaurants.
